About the role

We are currently recruiting skilled Maintenance Fitters to join our busy Maintenance Team in our Beef City site 4356, Bordertown site 5268, Brooklyn site 3012, Cobram site 3644, Dinmore Site 4303, Longford site 7301, Riverina Feedlot 2703, Rockhampton site 4701 and Townsville site 4811. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is a full time position working Monday to Friday with optional overtime on Saturdays where available. (Both AM and PM shifts available.) Our conditions of employment are one of the best in the industry! The annual salary for this role is not less than $79,423 plus superannuation.

Your key responsibilities include:
Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance
General welding and fabrication duties
Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments and appliances
Ensuring that all work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations




Supporting other projects that may arise

About You
Cert lll Engineering Mechanical Trade qualifications
Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
Experience welding and cutting with S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
