Practice Nurse (RN) – Ivanhoe

We are seeking a registered nurse (RN) to join our friendly and supportive team in a part time role at Ivanhoe Family Doctors.

We are a busy, well-established general practice with a strong focus on providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our nurses play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the practice and are highly valued members of the clinical team.

In this role, you'll work closely with our GPs and fellow nurses across a broad range of nursing responsibilities, including treatment room procedures, immunisations, chronic disease management, care plans, health assessments, iron infusions, wound care and preventative health activities. No two days are the same, making it an engaging and varied position for a nurse who enjoys working across all aspects of general practice.

This position would suit a nurse who enjoys building genuine relationships with patients, takes pride in delivering exceptional care, and values being part of a workplace where their contribution is recognised and appreciated.

Key responsibilities

- Patient triage
- Immunisations and injections
- Chronic disease management and care plans
- Health assessments
- Wound care
- Iron infusions (IV/Cannulation essential)
- ECGs, spirometry, and ear syringing
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Patient education and support
- Maintain practice equipment and stock

About you

- Minimum 2 years' RN experience
- GP Experience preferred
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current CPR certificate
- Chronic disease management experience
- Health assessments experience
- Treatment room procedures experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Robust organisational and time management abilities
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
