About the Position

This full time, ongoing position involves teaching Mathematics across the secondary years, with a particular focus on Senior Specialist Mathematics.

The school is seeking a teacher who has the experience, subject knowledge and confidence required to effectively deliver Specialist Mathematics at the senior level.

The successful candidate will commence in Term 1, 2027 and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver engaging curriculum programs, prepare students for senior assessment and support strong academic outcomes.

Relocation assistance of between $2,000 and $5,000 is available, depending on the successful candidate’s current location and individual circumstances.

Skills and Responsibilities





- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Deliver Senior Specialist Mathematics with strong subject knowledge and confidence.
- Prepare senior students effectively for internal assessment and external examinations.
- Develop effective learning programs, assessments and classroom resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support continued development.
- Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice.
- Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and Catholic ethos of the College.

Requirements

Teaching Area: Candidates must be qualified and confident teaching secondary Mathematics, including Senior Specialist Mathematics.

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Catholic Ethos: Applicants must be willing to support and contribute to the Catholic values and ethos of the College.

Work Rights: Candidates must hold appropriate Australian working rights.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
