Eternity Care Services is seeking reliable, compassionate and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Melbourne.

We are looking for both experienced support workers and people who are passionate about entering the disability sector and have the right attitude, values and willingness to learn.

We have immediate opportunities available, as well as ongoing opportunities to join our casual workforce as new supports and participant needs arise.

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will support NDIS participants to live as independently as possible, achieve their personal goals and participate in their communities.

Depending on your skills, experience and the needs of individual participants, your responsibilities may include:

- Providing in-home support with daily living activities, routines and household tasks.
- Supporting personal care while maintaining each participant's dignity, privacy and independence.
- Assisting participants with community access, social activities, appointments and transport.
- Supporting participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
- Implementing individualised support plans and positive behaviour support strategies, where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Providing complex or high-intensity supports where you have the required training, competence and authorisation.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes,

incident reports and other required documentation.

What we're looking for

We want workers who are dependable, respectful and genuinely committed to providing quality support.

You will ideally demonstrate:

- A caring, patient and person-centred approach.
- Reliability, punctuality and good communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while following support plans and organisational procedures.
- Professional boundaries, sound judgement and respect for confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and support environments.
- A willingness to learn, receive feedback and develop your skills.

Previous disability support experience is highly regarded, but we also welcome suitable applicants who are new to the sector.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have, or be willing and eligible to obtain where applicable:

- The right to work in Australia.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, with the required clearance in place before undertaking relevant risk-assessed work.
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport, where required for the role.
- Relevant qualifications, checks and training required for the duties assigned.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification where required for the position.

Additional training, qualifications and demonstrated competence will be required for specialist duties, including relevant high-intensity supports. A Working with Children Check may also be required for applicable roles.

Successful applicants will be subject to appropriate screening, reference checks and verification of relevant credentials.

What we offer

- Flexible casual opportunities across Melbourne.
- Opportunities for both experienced workers and suitable entry-level applicants.
- A variety of support environments and opportunities to develop your experience.
- The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of NDIS participants.
- Ongoing opportunities as our services and participant needs grow.
