We are not just hiring for a role; we are investing in our future Team Lead.

About the role

This is a pivotal appointment for a Senior Hydraulics Engineer ready to transition into a leadership capacity. You will be the bridge between current operations and future leadership structure. Within 12 to 24 months, this role is anticipated to evolve into the leadership of the entire Hydraulics department. Your days will be a mix of high-level technical delivery, strategic project management, and active mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standard of technical excellence

Actively train and upskill junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high accountability

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients,



using communication skills to build trust and ensure project success

Provide input into business development, refining processes, and helping shape the future direction of the firm

Ensure all design solutions are compliant with the BCA and National Construction Code and represent best-in-class engineering

About you

Formal Engineering Degree (Hydraulic, Mechanical, or Building Services)

Current Registration as a Skilled Engineer

Minimum of 8 years in Hydraulics & Fire Protection

At least 6 years of experience gained within the Australian market

Deep, demonstrable knowledge of the BCA and National Construction Code

Naturally accountable with a leadership mindset
