About Us:

Privedaadhya Pty Ltd T/A Hungry Bird Cafe is a popular and vibrant cafe in Nicholls, ACT, known for its delicious breakfast, brunch, and specialty dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team and help deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum

Role: Full-time

Location: Nicholls, ACT 2913

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch, and specialty dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.

· Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure smooth service flow.

· Maintain consistency in portion sizes, cooking methods, and presentation, upholding the cafe’s high standards.

· Assist in developing and refining menu items, incorporating seasonal and fresh ingredients.

· Monitor food stock levels, place orders, and minimize wastage while maintaining cost control.

· Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and maintaining a positive team environment.

· Ensure that all cooking equipment is properly maintained and used safely.

· Ensure all food handling,



preparation, and storage comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).

· Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Chef in a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and ingredient selection.

· Knowledge of Australian Cuisine.

· Understanding of Australian food safety regulations and compliance requirements.

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

· Solid leadership and teamwork abilities.
