Location: Atrium Sydney, Sydney Airport (airside), Mascot NSW 2020

Employment: Full-time, permanent, 38 hours per week on a rotating roster (early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays)

Salary: $82,000 - $90,000 per year plus superannuation

About the role

Atrium Sydney is looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Retail Store Manager to run our airside store at Sydney Airport. We serve thousands of travellers, airline crew and airport staff every day, and we need a leader who can keep the store running smoothly, hit targets and build a team that gives quick, friendly service from first flight to last. You will have full responsibility for the store's day-to-day operation and report directly to the owner.

Key responsibilities

- Run daily operations to meet sales, margin and wage cost targets; manage the store budget and report on sales, wastage and stock losses

- Set product mix, stock levels and service standards, and carry out pricing and promotions

- Recruit, induct, train, supervise and performance-manage staff

- Write rosters that match flight schedules while controlling wage costs, and make sure staff are paid and managed under the award and workplace law

- Handle ordering, suppliers, deliveries, stock rotation and stocktakes, following airport delivery procedures

- Lead customer service on the floor, resolve complaints and keep the store presentation sharp

- Oversee POS, cash handling, floats, banking and end-of-day reconciliations





- Ensure compliance with WHS, NSW food safety requirements, and Sydney Airport operating rules, aviation security and ASIC obligations

Essential

- 1-3 years of recent and verifiable work experience in a similar role

- Minimum AQF Diploma level qualification in Business or Hospitality Management

- Proven record of meeting sales and KPI targets and controlling labour and stock costs

- Experience with rostering, recruiting, training and performance management, and stock control

- Confident with POS, rostering software and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

- Excellent English communication and customer service skills

- Able to work a rotating roster, and able to obtain and keep an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)

Desirable

- NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willing to obtain one)

- Airport, travel retail, cafe or quick-service experience

- First Aid certificate
