We have an amazing opportunity available at Deans Marsh Primary School. It’s a small rural school located 34 kilometers south east of Colac in the foothills of the Otway Ranges.
This will provide you with an opportunity to undertake a certificate III in Education Support and learn firsthand skills from experienced local education staff.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing basic emotional and physical care for students
- Developing project based units to implement with small groups of ‘at risk’ students
- Assisting with the supervision of students in playgrounds, at camps, on excursions, in sporting activities and life skills
- Assisting in the preparation of student resources and equipment
- Participating in the monitoring and evaluation of programs and evaluation of individual student involvement and achievement
Successful applicant will possess the following qualities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Workplace flexibility
- A friendly and positive nature
- A solid interest in education and the welfare needs of primary aged children
- Ability to display initiative, teamwork skills and independence, all of which will be required at various times
