WISE WORLD ENTERPRISE PTY LTD t/a Jamdropcafe is a busy, well-established café in Cairns, Far North Queensland. We pride ourselves on serving fresh, high-quality café meals, specialty coffee, and exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. We are currently looking for a skilled and passionate Cook (Commercial Cook) to join our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present a range of café menu items (breakfast, lunch, and daily specials) to high standards.
- Assist with prep work, recipe execution, and controlling portion sizes to maintain food cost targets.
- Maintain strict standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Safely operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment.
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and ordering to minimize food waste.
- Work efficiently with front-of-house staff and kitchen team during high-volume peak service hours.





Skills and Qualifications Required

- Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification and/or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Cook (Commercial Cook) in a high-volume café or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian food safety standards and basic kitchen cost controls.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
- Solid team player with good communication skills and the ability to meet the work requirements of the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
