Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses is looking for enthusiastic café all-rounders with strong barista skills to join our team!

To successfully fill this role, you should have a positive attitude, a passion for coffee, and the following skills and qualities:

* Confident barista skills, with experience making quality coffees and handling a coffee machine

* Good understanding of coffee preparation, milk texturing and maintaining consistency in every cup

* Motivated to learn new skills and techniques

* Smart and tidy in appearance

* Robust teamwork skills with a winning attitude

* Flexible, reliable and responsive to a range of work situations

* Previous food hygiene experience (desirable)

* Cash handling experience (desirable)

* Previous café or barista experience is highly regarded

DUTIES:

You will work closely with your team members to deliver a high-quality service experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:





* Receive orders and serve customer requests in a timely and friendly manner

* Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation

* Operate and maintain the coffee machine, grinder and other coffee-making equipment

* Maintain a clean and organised coffee station, including regular cleaning of equipment

* Maintain product knowledge, including seasonal and promotional campaigns

* Keep the store clean, tidy and well prepared

* Answer customer queries in a polite and helpful manner

* Work as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations during busy periods
