About Thai De Cuisine

Thai De Cuisine Pty Ltd is a Thai restaurant located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Thai and Asian cuisine while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and food safety.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and cook Thai and Asian dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Prepare ingredients and manage daily food preparation.
Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
Work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Monitor food quality and stock levels and minimise food wastage.
Assist with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.
Follow food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
Work cooperatively with other kitchen and restaurant staff.
Assist with ordering and stock control when required.




Skills and experience

The successful applicant should have:

Relevant commercial cookery/chef qualifications or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
Experience preparing Thai or Asian cuisine is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and food safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant workplace.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Availability to work full-time, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Salary and employment conditions

$35.00 per hour + superannuation, based on 38 hours per week.

Approximate annual base salary: $69,160 + superannuation.

Employment conditions will comply with applicable Australian workplace laws and requirements.
