Restaurant Supervisor / Duty Manager – Southall Indian, Hampton

Southall , one of Melbourne's longest-established Indian restaurants, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in Hampton.

Established in 1990, Southall has built its reputation on exceptional food, warm hospitality and a loyal following of customers. We are a family-run restaurant that takes pride in doing things properly, without unnecessary fuss.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hospitality, is confident leading a team and knows how to make guests feel genuinely welcome.

About the Role

This is a hands on position for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working alongside the team and making sure each service runs smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising dinner service
- Leading and supporting our front-of-house team
- Maintaining excellent standards of customer service
- Managing reservations and guest enquiries
- Training and guiding staff
- Handling customer feedback professionally
- Working closely with the owners and kitchen team
- Ensuring the restaurant is organised, presentable and running efficiently

About You

We're looking for someone who brings experience, common sense and a positive attitude to work.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience supervising a busy restaurant




- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A warm, professional and friendly manner
- Confidence managing staff and dealing with customers
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm during busy services
- A genuine interest in good food and hospitality
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- A current Victorian RSA
