About the Position

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team in an ongoing casual position, working approximately 15–20 hours per week, with additional hours available to cover staff leave.

Working hours are rostered between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.

Previous reception or customer service experience is highly regarded. Medical reception experience is advantageous but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and managing front desk enquiries
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Managing emails, scanning, filing and data entry
- Processing Medicare claims, EFTPOS payments and receipting
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Liaising with healthcare professionals
- Assisting with general reception and administrative duties
- Maintaining patient confidentiality





Duties will be allocated according to experience, skills and level of supervision.

Pay and Conditions

Adult casual hourly rates range from $33.71–$36.39, depending on experience, duties and classification under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (MA000027).

The advertised rates include casual loading.

Junior employees under 21 years of age will be paid the applicable Award junior rates based on age and classification.

Future Opportunity

For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition to permanent employment in the future, subject to performance and clinic requirements.
