1947 is a family-run café serving traditional Palestinian food and Middle Eastern-inspired breakfast and lunch. We’re looking for an experienced chef to join our team!

The position:

- Part-time permanent or subcontract employment
- Professional kitchen experience required
- Preference for a chef with experience or a passion for cooking Middle Eastern dishes
- Preparing fresh meals and traditional Palestinian cuisine
- Maintaining food quality, consistency and kitchen cleanliness
- Conducting regular stocktakes and monitoring ingredient levels
- Managing ingredient orders from suppliers and communicating stock requirements to management
- Minimising food waste and maintaining proper food storage
- Working within a relaxed, friendly team environment

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking, is organised, has a positive work ethic and can take responsibility for keeping the kitchen running smoothly

Pay: $29.45 per hour
