The Position

We’re looking for a confident and capable Coordinator Development Assessment to lead our Development Assessment team and help share the future of our community.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence outcomes and make a genuine difference through high-quality, customer-focused development assessment.

As the Coordinator Development Assessment, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of planning professionals responsible for assessing a diverse range of development applications. You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of planners, development engineers and support officers to achieve high-quality assessment outcomes.
- Providing expert planning advice on complex and sensitive development matters.
- Coordinating the assessment of challenging and significant development applications.
- Ensuring development assessment services are timely, consistent,



customer-focused and aligned with relevant legislation, Council’s Planning Scheme and policies.
- Building robust relationships with internal stakeholders, applicants, consultants and the broader community.
- Supporting continuous improvement across development assessment processes, systems and service delivery.
- Contributing to strategic planning initiatives and organisational priorities.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

- Applicants must have the legal right to work inAustralia and hold a current drivers licence.
- Successful applicants will also be required toundertake a pre-employment medical assessment,drug screen, a criminal history check, workentitlement check and qualification check.
