We’re seeking a passionate customer focused professional to join our team as a Customer Service Coordinator (CSC) on a casual basis. If you enjoy a role that offers variety, can be quiet and busy, and you’re okay to be on your feet, then read on.

WHO YOU ARE & THE ROLE

We look for people who are resilient, hands on and genuinely enjoy delivering good customer service. A background in reception or hospitality is preferred. Essential skills include strong written and verbal communication, good computer skills, organisational skills and a “we care” attitude.

Some of the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Creating a friendly environment and delivering a positive resident experience.
- Assisting with a range of enquiries related to student residency, studies, general needs, and overall well‑being.
- Taking the initiative to monitor and report concerns and or issues relating to resident safety and well‑being and escalating as needed.
- Coordinating and executing administrative duties (including incoming and outgoing mail, filing, etc.).

Eligibility to work in Australia, National Police Check completed within last 3 months, Working with Childrens Check - NSW.

Location: Sydney CBD (main office) – for this 12‑month fixed term contract.

Contract type: Fixed term (12 months).

Working hours: Full‑time (Monday‑Friday).

Key responsibilities for the role:

- Respond to internal and external customer enquiries within a timely and professional manner.
- Manage customer requests and document them accurately.
- Execute export and import cargo bookings, documentation and container release tasks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in resolving enquiries related to shipment, documentation, invoices and claims.
- Follow Hapag‑Lloyd standard operating procedures and local area guidelines.

Skills and experience required:

- Open‑Minded & Positive Attitude.
- Customer Focus with a proactive customer service mentality.
- Problem‑solving mindset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to take initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Team player.
- Proficiency with basic user application systems (e.g. MS Office Suite).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desired additional experience:

- Basic work experience in liner shipping or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of/proficiency with specific CRMS (e.g. Salesforce, SAP).
