Western Sydney Gastro is seeking two experienced, professional and friendly Medical Receptionists to join our busy specialist gastroenterology practice.

We have two positions available:

Part-Time/Casual: Approximately 2.5 days per week, 20+ hours per week, including one Saturday per month.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in delivering excellent patient service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Important: A minimum of one year of medical reception experience in a medical practice is essential. This role is not suitable for students. Applications from students or candidates without the required experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide friendly, professional service.

Answer telephone calls, manage enquiries and schedule appointments.

Maintain accurate patient records and electronic correspondence.

Process patient billing, payments and account enquiries.

Coordinate theatre lists, procedure bookings and hospital admissions.





Perform daily financial reconciliations.

Liaise with hospitals, GPs and other healthcare providers.

Provide administrative support to doctors and the Practice Manager.

Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Minimum one year of medical reception experience in a medical practice.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Professional, compassionate and approachable manner.

Ability to multitask and work independently and within a team.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Availability to work the hours required for the position.

Clinic to Cloud experience is highly regarded. Familiarity with other medical practice software, medical terminology and Medicare billing is also advantageous.

No students, please. Only experienced medical receptionists meeting the essential criteria will be considered.
