Job Description

L'escale de cairns pty ltd The Roti Shack is a Caribbean curry fast food restaurant in Cairns City. We sell our curries wrapped up in flat bread which we call roti. You will learn all our procedure, recipes and general operations after which you will be overseeing a team of 4-6, ensuring that all guests are served with prompt, delicious roti wraps.

Specifically, you will be responsible for: You will report to the General Manager/Owner of The Roti Shack.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality meals and services.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Optimise customer service by fostering a positive and engaging shopping environment.
- Responding to customers' inquiries and complaints about meals and services.
- Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties.
- Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, dismissing and promoting staff, and resolving staff grievances.
- Instructing staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures.
- Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action.




- Taking inventory of food and drinks for sale and ordering new stock.
- Ensuring that food, drinks and other items are correctly priced and displayed.
- Ensuring safety and security procedures are enforced.

Requirements / Skills

- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a retail workplace.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in using retail management software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail management is advantageous.

- First Aid certificate
