ACCOUNTS OFFICER – CONSTRUCTION

Perth Based | Permanent Full Time

Alto Construction (WA) Pty Ltd is a Perth based developer-builder delivering high quality multi-residential and mixed-use developments across Western Australia. Unlike many builders, Alto delivers its own developments, allowing for a more streamlined construction process, direct decision-making and a strong focus on quality outcomes.

With a growing pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day finance function of a busy construction business. The successful candidate will have previous accounting experience within the construction industry and be proficient in Cheops software.

Key Responsibilities

· Process supplier invoices, subcontractor claims and payment runs accurately and on time

· Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and company credit cards

· Ensure job costs and expenses are allocated to the correct projects and cost codes

· Assist with retention, contract and subcontractor financial administration

· Support payroll processing and employee expense claims as required

· Prepare reports and assist with month-end processes

· Maintain accurate financial records and respond to internal and external account enquiries





· Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant construction industry requirements

About You

· Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Officer or similar finance role within the construction industry

· Proficiency in Cheops software is essential

· Sound knowledge of accounts payable and bank reconciliations

· Understanding of job costing, progress claims, retentions and subcontractor accounts

· Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

· Clear communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite

· Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications will be highly regarded
