As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated, organised and detail oriented Accounts Officer to support our financial operations and ensure accuracy, accountability and efficiency across our service delivery programs.

About the Role

Reporting to management and working closely with our operations and service delivery teams, the Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing day to day financial transactions, client invoicing, debtor management, reconciliations and financial reporting. This position requires someone who is proactive, confident working with financial data and capable of identifying discrepancies and resolving issues independently.

Experience in aged care, NDIS or government funded healthcare services will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, process and reconcile client invoices accurately and within required timeframes.
- Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances and undertake debtor follow ups.
- Reconcile delivered services against client billing records, funding arrangements and relevant pricing requirements.
- Assist with invoicing, claims and financial administration across Support at Home, CHSP, NDIS and other applicable programs.
- Investigate billing discrepancies, payment variances and outstanding claims.
- Maintain accurate client financial records and supporting documentation.

Accounts Payable and Financial Administration

- Process supplier invoices, payments and expense reconciliations.
- Maintain accounts payable records and ensure payments are appropriately authorised and processed.
- Complete bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger accuracy.
- Support month end processes and preparation of financial reports.
- Assist with financial record management, audit preparation and compliance requirements.

Financial Monitoring and Reporting

- Prepare regular debtor reports, aged receivables summaries and financial reconciliations.
- Identify overdue accounts, billing delays and potential revenue leakage.
- Work collaboratively with care coordinators, rostering and operational teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Assist management with monitoring revenue, expenditure and financial performance across service programs.
- Support improvements to billing processes, financial controls and reporting systems.

About You

We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong financial administration skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, reconciliations, debtor management and financial record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy.

- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, investigate discrepancies and follow matters through to resolution.
- A commitment to confidentiality, accountability and continuous improvement.

Highly Regarded

- Experience working within aged care, disability services, healthcare or community services.
- Familiarity with Support at Home, CHSP, NDIS or DVA funding and billing arrangements.
- Understanding of government funded service delivery and associated financial compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing financial reports and working with large volumes of transactional data.
- Qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or a related discipline.

Why Join Miracle Health Services?

At MHS, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that is growing and continuously improving its systems, processes and service delivery.

We offer

- The prospect to work within a meaningful and purpose driven healthcare organisation.
- A collaborative working environment with direct engagement across finance, operations and management.
- Exposure to multiple aged care, disability and healthcare funding programs.
- Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and organisational growth.
- A role where initiative, accountability and attention to detail are genuinely valued.
