Asian Cook / Stir-Fry Cook – Busy Hotpot Restaurant

Job Type: Casual / Part-time / Full-time (depending on availability)

Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, in accordance with applicable award rates.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Asian Cook / Stir-Fry Cook to join our team at a busy hotpot restaurant.

The successful candidate should have experience preparing Asian-style dishes, particularly wok cooking and stir-frying, and be comfortable working in a quick-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook Asian-style dishes, especially stir-fried dishes using a wok.
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food preparation.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation.
- Assist with general kitchen duties, including washing cooking equipment and utensils when required.
- Complete end-of-shift cleaning duties, including cleaning cooking stations, kitchen equipment,



floors and work areas.
- Follow food safety and workplace hygiene procedures.

Requirements
- Previous experience in Asian cooking or wok stir-frying is highly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.
- Willingness to assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays is preferred.
