Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Fitter

Kilner's Engineering is seeking a practical and reliable Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Bulimba. This is a permanent full-time, hands-on role assembling and finishing a range of OEM products, including trailers for the mining industry. Components are manufactured in-house and the role includes component preparation, mechanical assembly, detailing, packing and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Mechanical assembly and fitting of finished products and trailers
- Prepare components for assembly, painting and plating
- Use hand, power, torque and measuring tools
- Finish, pack and dispatch completed products
- Receive and organise stock and maintain inventory
- Assist with general workshop and production duties
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop

About You

- Experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle fitting, automotive, manufacturing or engineering
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills
- Able to read technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable and comfortable working independently or within a team
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
