The role
There are multiple roles available within the Audit, Compliance and Oversight Branch. The Branch provides independent assurance and guidance to ensure ASIS maintains propriety and adherence to legislation, policy and expectations. These roles support ASIS’s licence to operate and are critical to ensuring transparency for oversight bodies and maintaining confidence across Government that ASIS continues to deliver against its mission in a legal and appropriate manner. Audit Professionals (EL1 and Level 6)
Audit Professionals undertake a range of internal audit activities to assess business processes, organisational performance and the adequacy and effectiveness of ASIS’s corporate and operational frameworks. The Manager Internal Audit, at an EL1 level will assess compliance with relevant legislation, value for money and better practices, while working with stakeholders, team members and individually on projects.
Compliance Professionals (EL1 and Level 6)
Compliance Professionals facilitate independent oversight across all areas of ASIS, guiding teams to improve compliance understanding through training and outreach and ensuring that ASIS’s performance is accurately represented to the Government. These roles involve significant internal and external engagement and management.
