1947 Café is looking for an experienced and reliable barista to join our family-run café in Boronia.
We serve Palestinian traditional food and Middle Eastern-inspired breakfast and lunch, alongside quality coffee and a range of drinks. We offer a friendly, welcoming and relaxed working workplace and are looking for someone who takes pride in their coffee and enjoys being part of a team.
Position details
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of barista experience
- Employment type: Full time or subcontractor arrangement

About the role
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee consistently
- Operating and maintaining the espresso machine and coffee equipment
- Preparing smoothies and other drinks from our menu
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Maintaining a clean,
organised and hygienic workspace
- Working efficiently as part of a small team
About you
- At least 1 year of barista experience
- Confident with espresso preparation, milk texturing and latte art
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
- Friendly, positive and comfortable interacting with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for full-time employment or a subcontractor arrangement
