Warakirri College Limited (WCL) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified people wishing to join the College Board of Directors.

About the role

Warakirri is a rapidly growing independent high school, currently operating 5 campuses in Redfern, Blacktown, Fairfield, Campbelltown plus a Distance Education program for 160 students. The College has plans to open campuses in Picton this year and Cabramatta in 2028. These campuses serve young people completing Year 10 and Higher School Certificate (HSC) studies.

The College accepts students aged 15–22, many of whom have experienced challenging life circumstances, have disconnected from mainstream education or who don’t feel comfortable in a traditional school.

Warakirri means ‘to stand and grow’. To help our students grow and achieve, Warakirri offers a diverse, innovative program and a positive, flexible, adult learning environment. Teachers help students build confidence, manage challenges in their lives and work towards their academic and post school goals.

The organisation has a Strategic Plan which focuses on growing new campuses and enhancing the holistic education provided to students. You can read more about the College on our website https://www.warakirricollege.nsw.edu.au/.
