This isn’t a role where everything is already set up and running perfectly. You’ll help build it.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day Melbourne DC operation and help create the systems, routines and team culture that will support our growth.

That means you’ll

- Get the warehouse fully up and running across receipting, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
- Keep customer orders moving in full and on time
- Plan inbound and outbound freight, local deliveries, carriers and inter-branch transfers
- Lead, support and develop the Melbourne team
- Work alongside the team when needed, including picking, packing and loading
- Plan workloads and bring in additional labour when volumes require it
- Keep stock accurate and our mouldings and timber products well looked after
- Take ownership of site safety, including toolbox talks and safety walks
- Work closely with our Sydney operations, planning and logistics teams
- Find simpler, smarter ways of working and build the procedures the DC will run on

What will help you succeed

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Experience leading a warehouse, distribution or logistics operation
- Strong stock control skills
- Confidence using warehouse or ERP systems
- Practical knowledge of warehouse safety requirements
- A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
- A current driver’s licence
- Experience with building products, timber or trade supply, although this isn’t essential
