My client, an independently operated mid sized firm, is seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to their team. With 4 Directors and 25 staff across 2 offices, this is an exciting opportunity to work across an established client portfolio with a strong support team in place.

The firm operates under a pooled team structure, providing exposure to clients across different Directors and industries. They are experiencing strong organic growth driven primarily by referrals, creating genuine long-term career progression opportunities. The firm has a strong track record of promoting from within and works closely with team members to support this. They are a technology-focused firm and XPM Platinum Partner. They are also highly proactive in integrating AI solutions and continuously improving efficiencies through innovation.

The role involves working directly with clients to deliver both compliance and advisory services, with exposure to consultancy/project work. They are ideally seeking an individual who has experience with SMSFs (proficiency with Class is highly regarded).

9.5-day fortnights (with Friday afternoons off)

6 ad hoc work-from-home days per year, which can be taken as needed

Regular performance and salary reviews

You will have key responsibilities which will include:

Preparing and reviewing financial statements & reports for various entities

Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs

Tax planning/advisory and projects for clients

Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies

Liaising with clients regarding compliance matters

The ideal candidate will posses:

CA/CPA - qualified, studying or looking to commence

Robust communication skills - both written and verbal

4+ years experience in a public practice environment

Familiarity with Xero, Class and other accounting platforms

Genuine desire to be client facing and progress in your career
