Join Plus Community, where your contributions help create a positive impact and drive meaningful change in the lives of those we serve. Be a part of our mission to provide safety, comfort, housing and support for our communities.

We are looking for a full time maternity relief Case Worker to join our Operation Courage (OPC) program based in Orange, 5 days per week.

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality case management activities to enable women and children who are at risk of homeless or are homeless due to Domestic and Family Violence. The program focuses on early intervention to sustain tenancies or establish new tenancies which are safe and affordable through wrapping identified supports to reduce barriers.

The Case Worker will establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and networks with key stakeholders to ensure effective service referral pathways to facilitate women’s ability to stay home safely after separation from domestic violence, and to raise awareness of alternative accommodation options for the excluded person.

To be successful, you will require:

- Strong experience in Community Services, ideally within the DFV Sector.
- Proven ability to professionally and sensitively deliver client services to clients experiencing emotional distress.
- Well-developed communication skills; and demonstrated experience in identifying key stakeholders and establishing effective relationships.

In return, we can offer you the chance to make a significant contribution to our organisation and community, as well as learning and development opportunities, health and well-being program, reward and recognition and salary packaging.

Please include in your application a cover letter outlining why the role interests you, and how you meet the above requirements.

This is a full time position (5 days a week) on a Maximum Term Contract until 31 December 2027.

The Case Worker is classified as Level 4.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $92,279 gross per annum (Full time equivalent). This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award. As Housing Plus is a Not for Profit organisation, we have access to excellent salary sacrifice options to increase your take home pay!

Being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for the Operation Courage role and this position has been formally exempted under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 for this purpose.

Applicants identifying as Aboriginal are encouraged to apply.

We will start screening and interviewing any suitable candidates as they come through, so you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
