Casual Front of House & Junior Food Service Staff

We are preparing to open a new fine-dining restaurant in Golden Point, Ballarat, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable team members to join our team!

We aim to create an outstanding dining experience by combining authentic Sri Lankan flavors, international cuisine and warm, professional hospitality.

Position 1: Experienced Front of House Staff

Previous hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service.
- Take orders and serve food and beverages professionally.
- Explain menu items and assist guests with their selections.
- Maintain table presentation and restaurant cleanliness.
- Operate the POS system and process payments.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Requirements: Good communication skills, a professional presentation, teamwork and the ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment. Fine-dining experience is an advantage. Position 2: Junior Food Service Staff

No previous experience required – training provided!

Responsibilities:

- Assist with serving food and beverages.
- Welcome guests and help maintain a friendly atmosphere.
- Prepare and reset tables.




- Transparent tables and keep dining areas clean and organised.
- Support experienced team members during service.
- Learn restaurant procedures, menu knowledge and customer service skills.

Requirements: A positive attitude, reliability, punctuality, willingness to learn and a friendly approach to customers.

Working Hours

- Operating days: Thursday to Sunday
- Shifts: Flexible roster, including lunch and dinner service
- Employment type: Casual

Pay & Benefits
- Pay in accordance with applicable Australian award rates and employment conditions.
- Performance-based bonuses may be available in addition to award wages, subject to the restaurant’s bonus policy.
