Looking for a summer job with a friendly team, plenty of variety and new skills to learn? Join us at Alpha Pools!

We’re a family owned business with over 40 years in the swimming pool industry, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Casual Shop Assistant to help keep our customers swimming all summer.

Perfect for a uni student over the summer break, especially someone who loves chemistry and would enjoy putting that interest into practice through pool water testing!

No pool industry experience is needed—we’ll provide full training. Just bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a friendly approach to helping customers.

What you’ll be doing:

- Testing pool water and advising customers on keeping their pools balanced and sparkling

- Helping customers choose pool supplies and equipment

- Processing sales through our point of sale system

- Receiving deliveries, restocking shelves and keeping the shop looking excellent

- Assisting with orders, customer enquiries and general administration

Who we’re looking for:

- Someone friendly, reliable and keen to learn

- Ideally, someone with an interest in chemistry or science

- Confident communication and basic computer skills
- A team player who is happy to lend a hand

- Able to assist with lifting and moving pool supplies

- Available to work Saturdays

Previous retail or customer service experience is welcome, but the right attitude is just as important.

What we offer:

- Approximately 20–30 casual hours per week, including Saturdays

- Full training and support from our experienced team
- A friendly workplace with plenty of variety

- Attractive remuneration based on experience

- Part uniform supplied

- Potential for ongoing work for the right person
