About the role del Rios of Mt Anakie is seeking a Chef, preferably with experience to join our team in Anakie, Victoria. This is a full-time position based at our winery restaurant, where you will be responsible for our a la carte Spanish Tapas menu and function menus . As Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, prepare and cook a variety of spanish tapas to high presentation standards
- Plan and prepare function menu items, working collaboratively with management to create seasonal and special offerings
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage food preparation workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and health regulations at all times
- Manage food inventory, control portion sizes and minimise food waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure positive service delivery
- Source quality ingredients and build relationships with suppliers

What we're looking for

- Formal culinary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Prefer some experience as a Chef or in a senior kitchen position within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of spanish tapas and dishes and cooking methods
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Australia.



Candidates who require employer sponsorship may also be considered, subject to the employer's eligibility, the candidate's qualifications and experience and applicable immigration requirements.
- Preferably some knowledge and understanding of wines and pairing with food
- Demonstrated expertise in food safety, hygiene compliance and kitchen management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all team members
- Current food handling and safety certification is essential

Employment: Full time 38 hours/week

Salary: $80-84,000/per annum + superannuation depending on qualifications and experience
