About the role

As a Chef at Tulipscafe, you will be responsible for crafting delectable dishes that showcase the finest local produce and delight our discerning diners. This is a full-time position based in our modern kitchen located in Canberra ACT 2600.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking a diverse range of innovative and visually appealing dishes
- Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service
- Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
- Ensuring strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Effectively managing your station and contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
- Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions

About you

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment




- Formal culinary training or a relevant qualification in the Hospitality & Tourism industry
- Exceptional cooking skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure kitchen
