Western Australian Mining Business | Executive Leadership Opportunity

About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join a Western Australian mining business.

Working closely with the executive leadership team and Board, the CFO will provide strategic financial direction, strengthen financial management, governance and commercial decision-making and support key commercial and investment decisions.

The successful candidate will bring a combination of solid financial leadership, commercial judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the financial and commercial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting functions.
- Full accountability for statutory accounts and ASX financial reporting obligations (half year and full year reporting, and related disclosures)
- Provide strategic financial and commercial advice to the executive leadership team and Board.
- Oversee financial governance, internal controls, risk management and statutory compliance.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, treasury and capital allocation priorities.
- Support corporate financing, funding strategies and relationships with financial institutions and external advisers.
- Lead financial modelling, investment analysis and commercial evaluation of business opportunities.
- Drive improvements in financial and commercial systems, reporting processes and business performance visibility.
- Partner with operational and technical teams to support cost management, financial discipline and commercial decision-making.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.





About You You will be an accomplished finance executive with demonstrated experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within the mining or broader resources sector.

You will bring

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Significant experience in senior finance leadership positions, ideally at CFO or equivalent level.
- Strong financial management, corporate governance and commercial capability.
- Experience with corporate finance, capital management and funding arrangements.
- A sound understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning and commercial decision-making skills.
- The ability to engage effectively with Boards, executives, investors, advisers and operational stakeholders.
- A practical, hands-on leadership style suited to a dynamic business environment.
