Lead the voice of Australia's securitisation industry

About the ASF The Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF) was formed in 1989 to promote the development of securitisation in Australia. It is the peak industry body for Australia’s securitisation and covered bond markets, representing issuers, investors, trustees and service providers in its engagement with government, regulators and other stakeholders in Australia and internationally.

It is a lean organisation with a clear strategy, a sound financial position and a strong, cohesive National Committee. For its size it carries real influence, because of its relationships and its advocacy.

The Role

Reporting to the Chair and accountable to the National Committee, the CEO leads the ASF and delivers its strategic priorities. You will be the organisation's chief advocate and public face. You will also run the day-to-day business with a small Executive Office, including the Marketing and Operations Director, and Policy Director. The role is currently held part-time.

You will

- Lead advocacy and policy: represent the industry to Government, Parliament and regulators, build strong relationships across Canberra, and shape policy and regulatory outcomes through credible, evidence-based positions
- Engage senior stakeholders: build relationships with APRA, ASIC, the RBA, Treasury, the AOFM, industry bodies and market participants, and look for ways to work together on a deep, resilient and competitive securitisation market
- Grow and engage the membership: keep and strengthen the existing members, extend the ASF's reach across the securitisation ecosystem, and make sure members' diverse interests are reflected in everything the ASF does
- Provide strategic insight:



anticipate emerging market, policy and regulatory issues, and give the National Committee timely, commercially relevant advice
- Engage internationally: work with global securitisation associations and represent Australia's industry in international forums
- Lead and manage: turn the strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes, keep the operating model lean and high-performing, and maintain sound financial discipline

About You

You are a credible, collaborative executive who can represent the industry at the most senior levels. You have the judgement and independence to thrive in a lean organisation.

You will bring

- Senior executive, general management or CEO experience
- A strong working knowledge of Australian financial markets, and of the regulatory, policy and commercial workplace.
- Knowledge of securitisation, fixed income or capital markets would be advantageous, however candidates with the capability to rapidly develop industry expertise are encouraged to apply.
- A proven record of building senior relationships across Government, regulators and industry, and of influencing policy outcomes
- Sound political and commercial judgement, and a clear sense of how to build support for industry positions
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and persuasively
- Strong strategic analysis, negotiation and networking skills
