Gatehouse Montessori Gatehouse Montessori is seeking a caring, reliable and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our Montessori learning environment. The successful applicant will support the care, supervision and development of children while contributing to a calm, orderly and genuinely child-led environment based on Montessori principles.

About the role This is a full-time position working within Gatehouse Montessori's childcare and Montessori programs. The successful candidate will assist with the daily care and supervision of children, support educational and recreational activities, maintain children's routines and hygiene, and contribute to a safe, respectful and engaging learning setting.

The salary range being offered is between $77,000.00 and $87,000.00 plus Superannuation. Task &

responsibilities Providing care, supervision and support to children within the Montessori environment. Assisting educators in preparing materials, resources and equipment for educational and recreational activities. Supporting children in participating in Montessori learning activities and age-appropriate experiences.

Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Supporting children's social development and guiding appropriate behaviour in a calm and respectful manner. Assisting with children's daily routines, including meals,



rest periods and transitions between activities.

Supervising and assisting with children's personal hygiene and maintaining appropriate hygiene standards. Reading to children, engaging them in games and providing age-appropriate recreational activities. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe environment for children.

Working collaboratively with educators and other team members to support the daily operation of the centre. Qualification &

experience Relevant qualifications in Child Care, Early Childhood Education or a related field. Relevant experience working with children in a childcare, early learning, Montessori or educational environment. Demonstrated ability to provide attentive care and supervision to children.

Understanding of children's developmental, educational and social needs. Demonstrated ability to support children's learning, behaviour and social development. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established procedures. Caring, patient and responsible approach to working with children. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and respectful environment.
