Profectus is seeking an experienced Senior Citrix Infrastructure Engineer to support remote access and virtual application delivery services within an Australian Government agency. You will administer, support and enhance the Citrix setting that staff use to securely access agency systems and applications from office, home and remote locations. The work covers platform administration, Level 2 and 3 technical support, upgrades and security improvements, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support the Citrix remote access and virtual application delivery environment
- Configure, maintain and enhance Citrix platforms and associated infrastructure
- Monitor platform performance, service health and availability, and resolve identified issues
- Implement platform updates, security improvements and vulnerability remediation
- Manage Citrix policies, system configurations and supporting infrastructure components
- Investigate complex technical issues and provide solution options to stakeholders and project teams
- Support incident, problem and change management activities
- Support change, release and deployment activities across development, test and production environments
- Contribute to platform upgrades, service improvements and infrastructure modernisation
- Produce solution designs, implementation plans, upgrade and transition plans
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides and knowledge articles
- Transfer skills and knowledge to agency staff

Required Experience
- Senior level experience as a Citrix or infrastructure engineer in an enterprise environment




- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), StoreFront, Workspace and Provisioning Services (PVS)
- Windows 11 MOE for virtual desktops and Microsoft Server OS for published applications
- Citrix ADC and Web Application Firewall, including MFA integration
- FSLogix, App-V, Citrix Profile Management and Microsoft Defender
- Capacity monitoring and planning for infrastructure services
- Problem management, including root cause analysis and preventative fixes
- Scripting to automate provisioning, testing and deployment
- Designing complex systems and leading installation, upgrade or decommissioning work

Desirable Experience
- Supporting and maintaining CVAD environments, including virtual desktop, application delivery and profile management services
- Administering and troubleshooting Citrix access and security controls
- Working with infrastructure, network, cyber security and project teams on platform stability and lifecycle activities
- Citrix certifications (e.g. Citrix Certified Professional or Expert in Virtualization)
- Producing technical training and knowledge transfer materials
- Previous Australian Government experience

Security Clearance Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have an AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 2 Security Clearance
