As a Civil Construction Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, development and ongoing maintenance and management of the project controls systems utilised within the business, its correct and timely application on projects and the output data for submission to executives and for use in tendering.

Key Responsibilites

- Development and ongoing maintenance and management of project control systems.
- Maximisation of value recovery, cost control and cash management.
- Responsible for all outputs of the project control systems and their application across the business
- Management and mentoring of all staff on the importance of and use of the project controls systems established for the business, including but not limited to development and running of formal training sessions.
- Forecast generation from output data as well as exploration of predictive modelling.
- Application and integration into the business of the latest forms of technology and software available on the open market.
- Development of strategies to promote the use of and integrate project controls into the business culture.
- Promote the company’s image at all times

Qualifications Minimum level of knowledge/skills/training required to carry out the job:

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical), Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or industry equivalent related qualification

Demonstrated track record operating in one or more of the following fields;
- Project Controls
- Programming
- Quality Assurance
- Contract Administration
- Quantity Surveying
- Engineering

Complete understanding of:
- Construction materials and methods
- Project controls systems and technology
- Interactions with people
- Demonstrated strong technical and IT capability

Sound knowledge of:
- Cost forecasting and control principles and procedures
- Managing time and resources effectively
- Valuable verbal communication skills, ability to write clearly and concisely
- High level of attention to detail
- Nationally Recognised Construction Induction
- Drivers Licence

Work Experience Considered necessary to do the job effectively:

- Minimum of 5 years construction industry experience in commercial or civil construction.
