Scotch Oakburn College is an independent, open entry day and boarding school of approximately 1,300 students from Early Learning through to Year 12, in association with the Uniting Church in Australia. We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused College Shop Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis during academic weeks.

Working closely with the College Shop Manager, you will provide welcoming service to students, families and staff while assisting with point-of-sale transactions, stock control, merchandising and the day-to-day presentation of the shop.

The successful applicant will bring strong people skills, retail experience,



attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented approach. The role involves regular lifting and carrying of stock, using stairs, and periods of standing and walking.

- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Friendly, people-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Experience using point-of-sale systems and handling transactions
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with stock control, merchandising and stocktakes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to safely meet the physical requirements of the role
- Commitment to child safety and supporting a welcoming College community
