About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Upholsterer to join our skilled production team. This hands-on role is ideal for a quality-focused tradesperson who takes pride in producing durable, well-finished work for commercial environments. You will work across a variety of projects, from preparing frames and cutting materials to final assembly and quality inspection.

Key responsibilities

- Measure, cut, sew and fit fabrics, vinyl, leather and foam to commercial furniture and fittings.

- Strip and rebuild existing upholstered items as required.

- Prepare, repair and assemble frames, webbing, springs and cushioning.

- Read job specifications, drawings and work orders accurately.

- Operate sewing machines, cutting equipment, hand tools and pneumatic tools safely.

- Complete work to agreed quality standards and production timeframes.

- Identify material or construction issues and recommend practical solutions.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in commercial upholstery or a closely related trade.

- Robust cutting, sewing, fitting and finishing skills.

- Sound knowledge of upholstery materials,



tools and construction methods.

- Excellent attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality.

- Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a team.

- Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.

- Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
