As a Compounding Pharmacy Lab Technician at PharmacySmart Compounding, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of expert pharmacists in the preparation and quality control of customised medications. This is a full time position based in our facility in Balwyn North, VIC. For the right candidate, a position may also be available at our East Melbourne location.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately measure, mix and prepare a variety of compounded medications, including creams, ointments, solutions, and suspensions
- Conduct quality assurance testing on compounded products to ensure they meet strict safety and potency standards
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation throughout the compounding process
- Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy lab, including equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Collaborate with pharmacists to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the compounding process
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a compounding pharmacy technician or in a similar role (highly desirable)
- A Certificate III or IV in Pharmacy, or equivalent qualification is desirable (but not mandatory)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Strong communication
