Fangda Australia Pty Ltd is part of Fangda Group and specialises in curtain wall and window wall facade solutions. Our services cover design and engineering, visual and performance mock-ups, production, logistics, project management and site coordination. We work closely with builders, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver facade systems that meet project specifications and construction requirements.

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Camberwell. You will prepare detailed estimates and cost plans for curtain wall and window wall projects, from initial tender enquiries through to tender settlement. Working closely with our design and project teams, you will review drawings and specifications, calculate quantities and costs, assess supplier and subcontractor quotations, and prepare accurate and competitive tender submissions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Reviewing architectural drawings, facade details, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements and the scope of work.

· Preparing quantity take-offs and material schedules for curtain wall and window wall systems, including glazing, aluminium framing, facade panels, brackets, fixings and sealants.

· Calculating material, labour, fabrication, freight, equipment, installation and other project costs according to the tender scope.

· Preparing preliminary estimates, detailed cost plans, pricing schedules and tender submissions, including relevant allowances, exclusions and cost risks.

· Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations to verify pricing and ensure adequate coverage of the required scope.

· Assessing construction methods, site access, installation sequencing and project timeframes to determine their impact on estimated costs.

· Liaising with builders, consultants,



internal teams and manufacturing facilities to clarify technical requirements and verify cost information, production lead times and logistics assumptions.

· Evaluating alternative materials and construction methods, and updating estimates in response to design changes and tender clarifications.

· Supporting tender negotiations through to tender settlement and providing agreed cost plans and pricing assumptions to the project delivery team.

· Assessing quantity and cost changes arising from revised drawings, specifications and site instructions, and preparing variation estimates and quotations during project delivery.

· Monitoring project costs against agreed budgets and updating cost forecasts to reflect procurement, subcontract pricing and project changes.

Required Qualification and Experience

· A relevant Diploma or higher qualification, or at least three years of relevant work experience in lieu of a formal qualification.

· Experience in construction estimating, preferably in curtain wall or facade projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills

· Ability to interpret architectural drawings, construction specifications and technical facade details.

· Strong skills in quantity take-offs, cost calculations and preparation of construction estimates.

· Knowledge of curtain wall and window wall systems, including relevant materials, fabrication processes, testing requirements and installation methods.

· Understanding of construction tendering procedures and supplier and subcontractor quotation assessment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating or digital take-off software.

· Solid analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify pricing discrepancies and scope omissions.

· Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.
