Salary: AUD $70,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation

Our Client BP Hughenden Roadhouse is seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated Cook to join our team at our Hughenden location. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of our kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness.
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Seasoning food during cooking to achieve desired flavours and consistency.
- Portioning food, arranging meals on plates and adding sauces, gravies and garnishes.




- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain freshness and food safety.
- Preparing meals to meet special dietary requirements.
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements.
- Training and guiding kitchen staff and apprentices when required.
- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications and Experience

- AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant field (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience
