Tired of sitting idle between jobs, or stuck on one site with no variety? We have regular shutdown work across Perth and regional WA, and we need experienced Crane Operators ready to get into it.

We supply skilled shutdown crews to major industrial, mining and processing clients across WA. Our shutdown calendar is busy, and we’re building a pool of reliable operators we can call on shutdown after shutdown.

About the Role

You’ll be running cranes on planned steel and maintenance shutdowns, working with rigging crews to lift steel, mechanical components and plant safely and to plan. Shutdowns move fast and change often, so we need operators who stay calm, communicate clearly and never cut corners.

Shutdowns mean long, solid shifts and real hours in your pay packet. You’ll work across a mix of Perth metro and regional sites with experienced crews around you. Do a good job on one shutdown and you’ll be first call for the next.

Your duties will include

- Operating Franna and slewing cranes on steel and maintenance shutdowns
- Crane set up, outriggers, packing and pack down
- Working to lift plans, JSAs and client shutdown procedures
- Clear radio and hand signal communication with riggers and dogmen
- Pre start checks, daily inspections and logbook entries
- Reporting defects, hazards and incidents promptly
- Assessing ground conditions and set up locations before lifts
- Working safely around live plant,



crews and other equipment
- Keeping the crane and work area clean and organised

What We Are Looking For

- Current HRWL for the crane class you operate (CN, C2, C6 or higher)
- Dogging ticket highly regarded
- Current White Card
- HR or MR driver’s licence
- Proven crane operating experience on shutdowns or industrial sites
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt when plans change
- Clear communicator who works well with rigging crews
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
- Own PPE
