No two days are necessarily the same. Your main focus will be assisting our customers and helping keep the day-to-day operations of our office and yard running smoothly. This position would suit someone who enjoys dealing with customers, is confident using computers and is also happy to get out of the office and lend a hand in the yard when required.
Key responsibilities
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with customer enquiries
- Taking and processing customer orders accurately
- Entering orders and customer information into our computer system
- Responding to emails and general enquiries
- Providing friendly customer service both over the phone and in person
- General administration and office duties
- Using MYOB for relevant customer/order and administrative tasks
- Assisting customers in the yard
- Operating a forklift to load turf and serve customers when required
- Assisting other team members with general duties during busy periods
About you
- Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Able to accurately take and process customer orders
- A good communicator with a positive attitude
- Practical and willing to help wherever needed
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Previous experience in customer service, administration or a similar role would be highly regarded
- A current forklift licence is preferred; however, if you don't currently hold a forklift licence, the employer is happy to assist the right person in obtaining one
