About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our team at Tableland Fertilizer in Mareeba, QLD. This is a full-time position based at our Mareeba location.

As Customer Service

Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing responsive support and assistance with enquiries, ordering. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction with our products and services. This role does include working in a roster system every second Saturday from 8am -12pm.

Key responsibilities

- Answer customer telephone and email enquiries in a skilled and timely manner

- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are correctly recorded

- Generate orders for stock as scheduled by the business

- Provide product information to customers based on their requirements

- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfilment

- Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism, working towards satisfactory resolutions

- Prepare quotes and invoices for customers

- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and record keeping





- Liaise with management regarding customer feedback and service improvement opportunities

- Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and pricing to provide accurate customer information

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative support role, ideally within a sales, distribution, or agricultural industry environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers

- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software, including email and data entry programmes

- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when processing orders and managing customer records

- Friendly, patient demeanour and genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment

- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
- A valid Australian driver's licence would be advantageous
