What you’ll do

As the Senior Product Manager - Customer Automation & Agentic Assistant, you are responsible for architecting and executing a digital-first, proactive service strategy that leverages Agentic AI to embed seamless assistance directly into the customer journey.

In this role, you will apply first-principles thinking to define a world-class customer experience strategy, moving beyond traditional deflection models to deliver a highly personalised, multi-modal automated support ecosystem. You will lead a high-performing cross-functional squad and partner deeply with Woolworths Group brands to understand their unique customer needs, aligning business strategies to deliver a connected, frictionless customer journey.

Keyaccountabilities include:

- Product Strategy & First-Principles Execution:



Own the long-term roadmap for the Agentic Assistant and Digital Self-Service ecosystem by applying first-principles thinking, aligning with strategic goals, and evaluating emerging AI and multi-modal technologies.
- End-to-End Customer Experience Ownership: Deliver a seamless, multi-modal support ecosystem across web, app, chatbot, and voice, shifting interactions from transactional support to proactive, 24/7 value creation and engagement.
- Cross-Functional Squad Leadership: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers, data scientists, designers, and business analysts, balancing speed-to-market with operational excellence and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Brand Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Woolworths Group retail and loyalty brands to champion Agentic AI, embed digital-first journeys, and translate complex technical concepts into compelling business cases and ROI updates.
- People Leadership & Talent Development: Directly manage, mentor, and guide Business Analysts to support their professional development, career growth, and day-to-day prioritisation within a high-performance culture.

- Product Strategy: Define and align product strategies based on emerging factors, ensuring clear squad focus and strategic business alignment.
- Prioritisation & Commercial Acumen: Make confident trade-offs to maximise ROI and develop robust business cases aligned to financial and customer outcomes.
- Customer & Data Insights: Derive deep insights from customer needs and quantitative data to measurably improve product experience and adoption.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Operate in ambiguous environments with decisive leadership while breaking down silos for seamless cross-departmental co-creation.
- Influencing & Communication:



Use strategic storytelling and tailored communication to secure senior stakeholder buy-in across technical and executive partners.
- Specialist Expertise: Leverage hands-on experience in generative AI, SaaS/AaaS platforms, and large-scale retail or digital loyalty domains.
