Data Engineer - Snowflake

- 6 + Month Contract | Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join an engineering team to work across both BAU support and project-based work. We need a Data Engineer with proven experience working across data migration projects / programs specifically with Snowflake experience. This is a hands-on role that requires solving problems, improving data platforms and delivering outcomes that are used every day.

As a member of an established team, you will work across a modern cloud environment and will play a key role in enhancing data pipelines, improving reporting capability and supporting ongoing platform initiatives. Expect a mix of operational support, continuous improvement and project-based delivery as the organisation continues to mature its data capability.

Your role will include: -

- Building and enhancing data solutions across a modern cloud data platform
- Developing and optimising data pipelines and transformation processes
- Supporting reporting and analytics teams with trusted, business-ready data
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements
- Troubleshooting data issues and improving performance across existing environments
- Contributing to ongoing platform uplift, modernisation and data initiatives




- Collaborating with architects, analysts, engineers and delivery teams on both BAU and project work

You will need experience: -

- Strong experience working as a Data Engineer in enterprise environments
- Deep SQL capability and a solid understanding of up-to-date data warehousing principles
- Commercial experience with Snowflake and dbt
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and ELT frameworks
- Experience supporting both operational workloads and project delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
- It will be highly regarded if you have some Power BI experience and exposure across AWS.
