Design and Technology Teacher (Years 9-12) - Temporary Contract

Snowy Mountains Grammar School has a temporary opportunity within its Design and Technology Faculty for a for a specialist Design and Technology teacher. Delivering engaging programs across Stage 5 and Stage 6, you will play a key role in inspiring creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking and practical skills development in our middle and senior school students.

Position Details

Role: Design and Technology Teacher (Years 9-12)

Term: Fixed-Term 2027 Long Service Leave Cover (Term 1 - 18 January 2027 to 16 April 2027)

Employment Type: Full-time or part-time by negotiation

Remuneration: As per Independent Schools NSW (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025

Essential Criteria

- Qualifications and strong subject expertise in Design and Technology or a related discipline.
- Hold current, or be eligible to obtain, NSW Teacher Registration (NESA) prior to commencement.
- Hold a current valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and adherence to child protection legislation and school policy.
- Experience managing workshops, tools, equipment and practical learning environments.
- Proven ability to facilitate a positive learning environment that cultivates curious, critical thinkers and that inspires deeper learning.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Excellent ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology into lessons to improve learning.
- Enthusiastic commitment to contributing to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral care programs.
