We're currently seeking a full-time Duty Manager to join our team at Majestic Roof Garden Hotel, our boutique hotel located in the heart of Adelaide's East End. With stylish accommodation, a rooftop garden overlooking the city and a focus on warm, personalised service, Roof Garden offers an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting their team and creating memorable guest experiences. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel and be a trusted point of contact for both guests and staff during your shifts.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the in office leader as required to support hotel operations.
- Delivering exceptional guest service and confidently resolving any concerns or complaints.
- Supervising, training and supporting Front Office team members.
- Coordinating room readiness and daily operations with Housekeeping and Maintenance.
- Ensuring hotel standards, policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Acting as the Responsible Person for safety, security and emergency response as required.
- Completing shift handovers, reporting and basic financial reconciliation.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in hotel reception or Duty Manager roles.
- A calm, professional and confident approach when handling guest issues.
- Someone who enjoys leading and supporting a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- A current valid driver's licence.
- A First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
