With an ecology team of 40+ professionals, we offer the opportunity to build your skills, take ownership of projects, work alongside experienced ecologists and contribute to some genuinely exciting environmental projects across Queensland and beyond.
And the best part? No two projects are the same!
? WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Depending on your experience, interests and career goals, you could be:
- ? Getting hands-on in the field, delivering flora and fauna surveys, threatened species assessments and ecological assessments.
- ? Exploring diverse environments, from local survey sites to regional and remote field locations.
- ? Preparing technical reports, environmental impact assessments and approvals documentation.
- ?️ Undertaking vegetation assessments, ecological community mapping and other biodiversity assessments.
- ? Working directly with clients, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver great environmental outcomes.
- ? Managing project scopes, budgets, timelines and deliverables as you develop your consulting skills.
- ? Leading projects, mentoring junior team members and contributing to business development as you progress into more senior roles.
Whether you’re building your technical foundations or bringing years of consulting experience, we’ll look at where you can make the biggest impact and how you can continue to grow.
? WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re open to a range of experience levels, from enthusiastic graduates through to experienced Senior Ecologists.
You could be a great fit if you have:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Zoology, Botany, Natural Resource Management or a related discipline.
- An interest in, or experience with, flora and fauna surveys, threatened species, vegetation assessments or ecological assessments.
- An understanding of relevant Commonwealth and Queensland environmental legislation.
- Experience preparing ecological reports and supporting environmental approvals, depending on your level.
- Robust communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.
- A willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork across Queensland, including regional and remote locations.
- A current driver’s licence and the ability to access field sites as required.
For our more experienced Ecologists and Senior Ecologists, we’re particularly interested in people with strong technical capabilities, project management experience, client relationship skills and the ability to mentor and develop others.
Experience with Regional Ecosystem verification, BioCondition assessments, threatened species surveys, GIS, environmental impact assessments or the Queensland consulting environment would be highly regarded.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply too! We’re interested in your potential, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
